I've grown fat Hey! :) I would like to know what people say more often (around you) when they want to say "gain weight". I would also want to know if "I've grown fat" seems good to you. Thanks! (I'll be glad if you correct my English mistakes ^^)

If you say you've "gained weight" it's a more polite, neutral expression. Saying you've "grown fat" does communicate the same thing but it has a more derogatory, self-critical tone.

"Put on weight" is what we usually say. "I've grown fat" is a correct sentence, but it would sound a little robotic if you used it in conversation. "I've put on weight" would sound better.

If you are going to use "fat" --- and as Mark says, it's a bit derogatory, or self-deprecatory if used of yourself -- it's more colloquial to say "I've got fat".
