It means very little, so little that you can count it as nothing for practical purposes. So your sentence means that she finds very little joy.in anything at all.

"Practically" in this case means "virtually," "essentially," "basically," "nearly," etc.
So, "practically nothing" means "almost nothing" or, in practice, "very little."
This much is clear. The rest of the sentence, however, is ambiguous. As previous responders have said, the sentence could refer to either a very positive or a very negative person. Personally, I agree with James and Jerry that the sentence is far more likely to mean that she finds almost no joy in anything, but technically Louis could be correct as well.

You'll need to give us the full context.
As you can see from the previous two replies, this phrase is ambiguous out of context. It could either refer to a positive and cheerful person who finds joy in even the most insignificant things, or to a negative and unhappy person who finds almost no joy in life.

In this sentence it means that she finds joy in things so small or unimportant that they are practically nothing. Like finding joy in putting on a pair of socks.
Hope this helps!

I agree with James. If I heard it I would think that she's depressed.
