Yes, it is frequently used (among people who watch TV, at least). It refers to watching several hours of a certain television show (or maybe different shows) at one time. A lot of people use this term in reference to Netflix, so you'll commonly hear phrases like this: "I was bored last night so I binge-watched Breaking Bad (or whatever you like to watch ^^)."
