How do we talk about our feelings in the past about the future?
Hello everyone,
Is the following sentence correct ? if the answer is no, what is the correct version of it? I want to talk about my past feelings at the present time.
"I thought it must be very cold here, but I now see I was wrong"

"Must" works but has a very precise meaning. I would say
"I thought it would be very cold here, but I now see I was wrong"

"I thought it must have been very cold here, but I know now I am wrong"
