What does "appeal" mean in this sentence? Hi, This is an excerpt from an article: "In that sense, his appeal resembles that of a Latin American caudillo, or strongman." Source: http://www.economist.com/blogs/buttonwood/2016/05/democracy-and-economics I don't know what "appeal" means in this context. Does it mean "a quality that makes somebody/something attractive or interesting" (definition from Oxford Dictionary)? Could you please help me out? Thank you very much.
