which one is correct?
and what is meant ---it had also apparently resulted in his being dismissed from Millennium

The answer to your first question is that "his being late" is correct. Use a possessive pronoun before a gerund ("being"). See: http://www.getitwriteonline.com/archive/022205posscasegerunds.htm
Regarding the second sentence, because he was late, he was "dismissed" [This could mean he was fired.] Without more context, I have no idea what "Millenium" is. Perhaps the name of a business?
