Gaeilge: Geit A Bhaint As "Bhain mé geit as an gcapall." means "I startled the horse.", correct? Also, does "Níor mhaith liom geit a bhaint as an gcapall." mean "I wouldn't want/like to startle the horse." Trying to figure out the word order when using the verbal noun.

Both your sentences are correct. The other kind of verbal noun phrase would, of course, be "Tá mé ag baint geite as an chapall" which, although grammatically correct, perhaps stretches the semantics a bit.
