Confused with an example of 'lighthearted' from vocabulary.com
'When you are shopping for greeting cards, the lighthearted ones are the ones with the corny jokes, not the ones with pictures of dramatic sunsets.'
Corny jokes are silly and probably make you groan every single time. Then why greeting cards with corny jokes are 'lighthearted', in other words, joyful and amusing?

When you make a light-hearted joke, you make it playfully. It's typically not serious. Another use would be saying something light-heartedly. You mean it, but there's an air of relaxation around it.

Light-hearted is the opposite of serious. So cards with sunsets and flowers are usually 'serious', whereas cards with joke are not.
