I was reading and I stumbled over a word that I can't find the meaning.
What does "Palmarejo" mean? It says Palmarejo uno, Palmarejo dos ... Palmarejo diez. Listos o no, ¡aquí voy!
I know the game is probably "la escondida" but I'm not sure. More importantly I need to find the meaning of the word If at all possible.

The only thing I can find is that it appears to be the name of a place in Venezuela. Other than that, I can't find anything. Perhaps "palmarejo 1, palmarejo 2" is a way spacing out each second, much in the same way that English speaking children might count when playing "Hide and Seek:" Instead of saying "1,2,3," they might say "thousand 1, thousand 2, etc."
