"strike"
This is a sentence from TED talks.
"I found it very difficult to strike an honest balance, because ...".
In this sentence, "strike" means "describe" or "express"?
According to my dictionary, "strike" has lots of meanings, but I didn't find any suitable definitions there.
At last, I found a dictionary, which explains it as "describe" or "express", but I am not 100% sure, as other dictionaries didn't say it.
Could you please explain the meaning of this "strike"?
Thank you!

In this context, it sounds like strike means something like "find" or "create," as in the person was trying to find the right balance between two things, or to create balance within a situation.
