Those things we lose in life are seeds of hope, love, and dreams. (Present tense, we always lose them, maybe one day in the future)
Those things we lost in life are seeds of hope, love, and dreams. (Past tense, we lost them already, finished losing them)
Both are correct, depends if you are talking about the present or past. I think you are trying to say the present tense though.
