Stable/ steady / permanent job
I need the adjective for the type of job that protects you in the sense you cannot be fired. In Spain we called them trabajo fijo and you only have access to it through passing state exams.
Thanks

A stable job means you will always have work, the opposite being a seasonal job at a beach in summer. A steady job is similar meaning, there is always work in this profession. A permanent job is the opposite to a temporary job, temporary would be required for a short time permanent is all the time. None of these is a job you can't be fired from. That might be "a job for life".
