to tilt one's head_ What does it exactly mean?
When one says someone tilt his head back I understand the meaning. But when there is no" back",I doubt it's meaning as he throws his head back and lifts up his chin, or angles his chin and makes one side of his face higher than the other side?

The word "back" is short for "backwards" in your sentence. The word "back" is being used as a word to describe the DIRECTION in which the person wants the other person to tilt their head. ----- Like you wrote: "Throw your head back and tilt your chin upwards". : )

"back" = backwards ----- tilting the head BACKWARDS and raising the chin UPWARDS.
