yes this is correct for talking about a specific situation.
If you want to talk generally, to say that this is a general rule, you can also say:
'if you cross your fingers, you have good luck'

I agree with David. It's not a normal sentence for us to say. This sounds more natural:
"Crossing your fingers mean (you wish someone) good luck"
