I authored it? (ألف)
I understand that to author or compile a book uses ألف and that I authored would be ألفت, but how would you write "I authored it (masculine)"? ألفته؟
I am asking because I am transcribing a book written in the Judeo-Arabic of Iraq and the author wrote אלפתונו (alfatunu), so I'm wondering where this "nu" came from?
Thank you!

You are right
if the writer wanted to write " I authored it", it would be in Arabic" ألفته " and this letter ه refereed to the book or " it"

The Msoul accent ,if you are from Mosul ,the north big city in Iraq ,you will use this "nu" at the end of the verbs.
The word you mentioned ألفت "I authored it" it's correct.
