When logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead Hi there. I was listening to The White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane, and anyway I came across these lyrics "When logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead". I know what they were referring to, and basically I'd say that have fallen sloppy dead means are gone; you know what I'm talking about.... Anyway, my question is: do you use the expression sloppy dead? For those who want to listen to some "far out" song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl89g2SwMh4

No, we don't use it but it sounds great in the song, doesn't it? :)

I've never used it BUT it makes perfect sense in this song.

I think you would get some strange looks from people if you said this in another context haha. There has been a lot of strange lyrics in music over the years. Definitely not to be used elsewhere :)

No. I don't think I have ever heard that expression said in conversation before.

Haha, no, it sounds really weird. But that's the idea, to make it sound weird for a psychedelic song.
