In Argentina something that happened by "carambola" means something that happened unexpectedly, or that wasn't supposed to happen. Closest translation I found is "by fluke", but I'm not really sure because I'm not really familiar with this word. So carambolesco would be an adjective related to this word, but both carambola and carambolesco (especially the latter, which I never heard in my life) are really rare and I wouldn't bother learning/memorizing them.
