More on hodo
Continuing from my last question (see "This time...hodo?), I would like to ask:
1 - if hodo can be used with time, then what is the difference between hodo, gurai, and goro?
2 - Nori-san, your sentence that you wrote in your answer: "10キロほど離れた", does that mean "[subject] is about 10 kilometers away"? if not what is the proper translation?
Thanks.

1. "hodo" is used for the duration of the time. "goro" is use for the moment of the time.
And "gurai" is used for both of the situation.
ex) about two hours: 2時間ほど 2時間ぐらい (2時間ごろ is not correct)
ex) about two o'clock: 2時ぐらい 2時ごろ (2時ほど is not correct)
2. Your translation is correct.
