The meaning of “gold” and“gifts”
Hello,Everyone,I don't know the meaning of“gold”and“gifts” below:
Achilles and his gold
Hercules and his gifts

With Achilles, the gold probably refers to perhaps his armor. I'm no mythology expert, but I believe his mother was a goddess and had beautiful armor made for him that was decorated with precious metals (including gold).
The word gift can mean a present one person gives to another. It can also mean a person's special talent or ability. Hercules in mythology was blessed with great strength. So perhaps the word gift here is talking about Hercules' power.
