what's the meaning of " up on your feet"?

If you are talking about someone who is ill and in bed, and the doctor says "you'll soon be up on your feet", he is saying you'll soon be out of bed (up) and walking around (on your feet).
There might be other meanings, so it would help if you gave us the context for this.
