Impact ON something or impact TO something?
Hello, friends.
I was confused when a native English speaker said,
'This article is about the positive impact of technology to communication in the workplaces',
instead of 'impact of technology on communication in the workplace.'
I have learned from the dictionary that impact always comes with ON.
Please tell me which I should use, impact on or impact to.
If there is a clear difference in the meaning between them, please tell me about it, too.
Thank you.
Toru

You are correct, the other sentence is wrong.

The sentence is wrong. Don't worry about it. If that is the sentence as written, then I am sceptical that a native speaker wrote it as there is another error, 'workplace' should be singular.
