Hurt relates to pain. Harm relates to damage.
That's the general idea - although the meanings are often used more loosely.

Either can be used most of the time. "Hurt" can sometimes be considered more child-like.

Hurt is not ongoing it is temporary. If I hit you you'll be hurt. Hurt is also used emotionally.
Harm is more general. I hope you don't come to any harm or damage.
