Why she thinks she'd have the most epic internal battle? I'm reading a novel where a girl reads that valuable antiques were stolen from an auction house and thinks: "Without a clear motive that wasn't greed I couldn't imagine why a person would even think of a such thing. But If greed was a motivating factor, then no matter who the person was I'd have the the most epic internal battle on my hands." Why she thinks she'd have the most epic internal battle? It would be about whethere or not tell the police?

Usually an epic internal battle would refer to some kind of dilemma the girl is having. Without reading the story, I can't say for sure, but I think she sympathizes with the thief. She probably thinks that, if she was in the thief's position, she might do the same thing. So it would be difficult for her to try to stop someone that she doesn't think did anything really wrong. Once again, without reading it, it's impossible to be certain, but I hope this helps.
