How do you say "nickname" in Brazilian Portuguese?
How do you say "nickname" in Brazilian Portuguese?
Is it "apelido"? I've found "apelido" in a dictionary, but I'm not sure whether it is used in European Portuguese only or in Brazilian Portuguese as well.
Thank you for your help :)

Hi ksenia, it`s correct! Here in brazil we said "apelido" but you need to get attention because if you talk about "nickname" in internet or games we usully said "nick". For exemple my name is thales but my niece call me "Tatá" it's is a "apelido". But when i play some games my nickname is "thalestav" and we said : my nick is thalestav, ok ? If you have any other doubt text me. See ya later.
