Question should read: Why do all Chinese people have/possess the same (facial) characteristics? OR Why do all Chinese people look the same? ...same eyes, hair, skin colour, (not only Chinese people but all Oriental people) etc.. Am I right ? Do they think so too? By the way, I'm sorry if my question has offended you. I used to think the same thing, I thought that all Chinese, Japanese and Korean etc. people look the same and found it difficult to tell them apart but, after living in China for over 4 years I've come to realise the obvious - they are not alike at all. Yes the hair and eyes are the same colour BUT skin colour varies ALOT, and of course, the facial features themselves are completely different from person to person. And, as many have mentioned already, they think all westerners look the same too...

when i was young ,i couldn't tell what's the difference between the foreigners ,in my mind ,they are just the same , but now ,i watch quite a lot of movies and i work with the foreigners ,and i can easily tell the difference !~ so ,maybe ,you think we are the same ,because ,you are n't so familiar with us ~

You feel chinese people have the same form just because you are not a chinese. :) Actually there are so many difference between chinese people. first there are so many minority nationalities in China, many of them are much difference from Han nationality: different eye color, different face loo different language, as to skin color, it is almost the same because the latitude we live are more or less the same. Besides, even if Han nationality have some slight differences in looking or body type. So just stop thinking just to feel.

Your question is very interesting, everything is relative, China has 56 ethnic groups, the appearance is not much different, unlike the United States, the United States is a pluralistic country, it does not exist you say this phenomenon!
