There's big difference in price.
They vary in price.
What's the difference? Is the same meaning?

If there are only two things whose price is different, you can say their prices are different.
You probably wouldn't say they "vary".
You probably wouldn't say they vary unless there are a lot of things whose prices you're comparing.
For instance, prices of cars vary.

"The prices are different" usually refers to two or three items
"The prices vary" usually refers to many items
