Why the sentence "ありったけの夢をかき集め" omits the last る?
I was practicing Japanese listening some anime lyrics. The question is about the first sentence of the music "We Are" (first opening) of the anime One Piece: "ありったけの夢をかき集め"
I don't understand why they used the root of the verb かき集める omiting the last る.
Anybody can explain me that?

In Japanese verbs can be changed to this form omitting the final sound giving it the same meaning as if you were to attach 「て・で」. So this line could also have been written as ありったけの夢をかき集めて while keeping the same meaning. The reason why is because it is connected to the next line to make one sentence.
