I used to think beauty was all physical, but I'm not so sure any more. I have seen people who would be ugly if they were unconscious, but whose face shined with undeniable charisma. ANd I have seen people who ought to be beautiful but whose features were marred by ugly greed or hatefulness. So now I think beauty comes from personality, from being a happy positive strong person. Let's call that mental health perhaps? And that's a good thing. So I think I'm much more ready to praise beauty as the outward sign of those inward qualities. I know plenty of clever smart people who are selfish and unkind and I have no patience for them any more. Not at all. So being smart isn't enough. And I do think that good mental health is the key to unlocking the genius within -which everyone has- so you get both in one! PS- Lucia, I know some older women who have only gotten more beautiful, even their lines seem to make them more graceful and radiant. And men too. So don't assume that you only get worse! When you are young you don't yet realize that some peoples' beauty doesn't unfold until they are over 30. Some over 60 maybe!

Of course they both are important. If I can only chose one of tem, I would like to choose over brain. As we all know the beauty will disappear with the times go by. With the over brain, I would know how to dress up, make up properly to make myself more beautiful. Also, over brain will take a lot of other advantages. Last but not the least, maybe without beauty we can find a true love.(may difficult then a beauty finding a lover but if there is one,he/she would be the person who love you instead of your beauty)

Beauty matters,because most of the beautifull girls are also have brains.But when you buttering them they never use their brains.Mostly men fell in love because of beauty not the brain.so beauty matters.

Since I can't have both, then I will choose "BRAIN" (Intelligence). Lack of beauty doesn't matter , at least people can enhance their look by doing plastic surgery.
