1 The phrase "flash on" is slang. It means to suddenly remember or to have an idea come to mind suddenly. "I flashed on my caller" probably means "I suddenly remembered my caller." There are other possible meanings. It is difficult to be sure without context but I believe this is probably correct.
2 "The old bird" and "was none the wiser" are both slang terms. An "old bird" is a way to say "the woman." To be "none the wiser" is to be unaware of something that has occurred. So "the old bird was none the wiser" means "the woman didn't know."

Was it by any chance "It (referred to somebody's number) suddenly flashed on my caller ID"? because then this sentence would work (to describe a number suddenly appearing on the screen of a phone).
