везти возить to carry by transportation
вести водить to guide, to drive
гнать гонять to make someone run, to make something walk
гнаться гоняться to follow
катить катать to walk
катиться кататься to walk
лезть лазить to go up
ползти ползать to crawl
тащить таскать to make something crawl, to take
When the prefix is added,
в-, во- = go in
вы- = go out, exit
при- = to arrive
у- = to exit
от-, ото- = take some distance, part from
под- = get closer, arrive
о-, об-, обо- = turn around, explore
пере- = travel across something, go across something like a door
про- = go across
за- = to go for, to go to see, turn around
до- = to go until
по- = to go
с-, со- = go down
вс-, вз- = go up

Катить, катать means "to roll".
Катиться, кататься means "to be rolling". Also in slang кататься means "to drive for fun, to make a ride".
Your text is very close to truth, but I think you should ask more exact questions about exact words and prefixes. Because there are many exclusions, which you should just remember.

creo que los prefijos verbales es algo más difícil de aprender a usarlo bien. Es que los mismos prefijos tienen las significaciónes diferentes con los verbos diferentes.

I want to calrify.
идти - it means "to go now or future" or "to go always, usualy".
ходить - it means more "to walk" then "to go".
ехать - to go now or future
ездить - to go always, usualy
бежать - to run now or future
бегать - to run always
плыть - to swim now
плавать - to swim usualy, like "i can swim" - "я умею плавать"
end etc.

At least, a couple of dozens of pages in a decent grammar book deal with the issue of Russian verbs of motion and their prefixes. Probably, you'd better use one of the textbooks.
