What is the meaning of this word (PITCH)?
Could anyone tell me what it is the meaning of pitch? I have used "Google translate" and a diccionary but I am not sure if the meanings that I have found are the good ones.
Context:
"For weeks it was soaked in a solution of natron and then it was filled with pitch. The Persian word for pitch was "Mumiai"[...]."
Could it mean something like a resine?

iHola Carlos! 'Pitch' has several meanings as you've probably found on Google translate. But in the context you have provided above, pitch is a type of tar. I think there're different types of tars. Wood tar, in particular contains resin acid. So you were quite right on that.
