Men marry women with the hope they will never change .Women marry men with the hope they will change .Invariably they are both disappointed.

When a man and woman are married: he hopes that she will not change (e.g. become old and wrinkly) as they get older. On the other hand, she hopes that he will change - that he will become less of a brute and a slob. Sadly she will change, and he will not.
