Shmozzle, alternatively spelled shemozzle, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, is a slang word with Yiddish and Hebrew origins (Schlemazel, bad luck) and means chaos or confusion. For example, if you bring home a lot of friends for dinner without notice and your mother is cleaning the house and hasn't been shopping, she might say 'What a shmozzle Mike, what are we going to eat?'
