What is the difference about 'the rich' and 'the riches'. The six-year-old and The six-year-olds.

What is the difference *between....
The rich refers to "people" who are rich, for example: The rich in California enjoy those activities. The rich in California live in nice houses.
Riches refers to physical objects (material wealth.), for example: The king had so many riches that he needed an entire room to put them in.

'the rich' = 有錢的人或 丰彩的人物
the richess = 富有的,
the six-year-old = 一个六岁的孩儿. 若不是孩子, 那就要说清楚, the six-year-old dog.
the six-year olds = 一群六岁的孩儿. 不如上面了, 只指六岁小孩! There were such weak puppies but these six-year-olds are now strong as an ox. 这里的六岁是指狗了.
