A product is an item that is being, or already has been produced. So the production of an item is the process of making it, whereas the product is the actual thing that is then made. In other words, production is the noun, in the example: "I am producing this corn from my farm," and then the product is the adverb when you say: "The product of my farm is corn."
Hope this helps a little :)

A product is a good or service produced or to be produced for consumption and production is the process of making that good or service. Grammatically, both the words are Nouns.

Hello Patrick,
Here is the difference.
A product is a noun, it means an article or item that has been manufactured or produced for sale or as a result of a natural, chemical or other manufacturing processes. For example, food products or waste products.
On the other hand, production is also a noun but it means the act itself or the process itself of manufacturing a product. For example, food production. However, please notice how production may have multiple meanings depending on the context. Here you can see some examples: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/production
