A construct is the result of something that has been put together with a structure, but is typically an abstract concept, rather than something like a building. It is an idea or theory resulting from a synthesis of impressions (World Book Dictionary 1970's edition).
When you have a social construct, it is something that is the result of social interactions, ideas and beliefs coming together to form a whole idea. Social is used as an adjective here. I suppose the idea that a particular singer is the best, and so has become famous, is a social construct. To have an ego, or to have self-esteem are both constructs. In science, we have constructs such as atomic theory, a scientific construct. This was an idea when first conceived, and now has more "proof" to back the theory.
Maybe a work construct might relate to a particular new idea where people that work together on research and development may have drawn up a diagram, or an image of an idea they have come up for a new produce or service. Whilst it is still at the concept stage, it could be a work construct. Once the concept is made real, it becomes a product or service, rather than a construct

Hi Ali, a construct is something that has been created by people, either physically or in an abstract way. 'A social construct' is basically an idea created by society that exists because people have accepted and agreed with it. Marriage, for example is a social construct. A work construct could be many things but mostly it would be about company rules or the way things are done; the dress code, for example.
