This is an unkind way to explain it and I apologise but it is meant to demonstrate, not insult. We often think of the termperament of our pets, their instinctive nature. So a dog with a good termperament, is great around children. It's about his innate tendencies, they type of person and instintive behaviour they display without thought rather than something learnt. So in this example he is a Pluralist because it fits his personality/behaviour/attitude.
