Is it correct to say "The current version of the document"?
In case I want to state that the current version of a document/file has been recently updated, is it correct to use "The" before the word "current"?
For example, which one is more natural between the following two sentences?
1. The current version of the document has been recently updated.
2. Current version of the document has been recently updated.

Use the definite article - yes

I think what you are saying is that the previous current version was updated to create a new current version.
The clearest way to say that is probably
"The document has recently been updated."

It would be plain wrong.
