活生生是什么意思？
活生生 is a very difficult word to understand for me. Whenever I try to create a sentence with it, my friend keeps telling me that I'm wrong. Here is the dictionary definition that I'm struggling with: 有生命力的；现实存在的。【这两个条件好像都是充分条件，而不是必要条件】。Can you please use these two different conditions to give me a bunch of examples? Thanks.

My own examples:
活生生的人物形象【从词典里来的】 ---- 比如，小说里的活生生的人物形象并不是现实存在的，反而是有生命力的、逼真的
我活生生的手 ---- 因为我的手是现实存在的，所以我的手是活生生的，对不对？
活生生的肖像 ---- 逼真

Apparently, there are a bunch of meanings for this word:
1、逼真的、栩栩如生的【活生生的肖像】
2、不可思议的地【小孩子被活生生地吓死了】
3、有生命的【你看，这只蚂蚁是活生生的】
4、有生命力的【苏明玉这个活生生的人物形象】
5、现实存在的【我的耳屎是活生生的】

其实我觉得这个短语有点难以解释，但我想试着总结最常用它的几个句子，以此来分析。希望对你有帮助。
——她被他活生生打到骨折。/冰天雪地里一些人被活生生冻死了。（活生生：表惊讶、强调，在活着的时候受到伤害）
    
——我就是一个活生生的例子。（活生生：发生在眼前的，或者发生在现实生活中的）

——书中的人物好似活生生的出现在眼前。（活生生：表示生动，逼真）

——一个活生生的人，怎么说不见就不见了？（活生生：有生命力的）

PS：有时，一个句子可能带有以上四种情况的一种或者两种。

再来分析你写的例子:
【活生生的人物形象】  √
【我活生生的手】  （没有什么错，但是一般我们会用在一个完整整的句子里，比如“我的手活生生被烫到了”）
【活生生的肖像】  （没有什么错，但是通常不会用来直接修饰一个物品，可以用在句子里：他画的肖像如同活生生的人一般。）
【小孩子被活生生地吓死了】   √
【你看，这只蚂蚁是活生生的】    √
【苏明玉这个活生生的人物形象】   √   (虽然苏明玉是虚构的人物，但这个人物生动，逼真)

Don't think of it too deeply, 活生生 just means alive or something looks alive, or something looks like having life force. like portrait is lifeless, but we use the phrase "活生生" to describe that it is living. And, your examples are perfect other than this example "我活生生的手".  You can think in this way, you wouldn't describe your hands are living or alive in English, would you?. Of course you wouldn't right?. So this is why the example "我活生生的手" is not correct here. Here is another example: 他活生生的被折磨至死.

Just think of it to mean = "alive", "still kicking" etc.  and you won't go wrong.  In your example,  我活生生的手, you cannot use it this literally .  Here's my example using it as a personification and a metaphor.  我还沒死, 双手是活生生的, 怎可袖手傍观呢?  "I'm not dead yet.  My hands are still kicking, how can they just sit idly by?"
