"in the paper"or "on the paper"
What's the difference between "in the paper" and “on the paper”?
Are they both correct?
Could you give me some examples?

He wrote something ON the paper
He read the paper (newspaper)
He read something IN the paper (Newspaper)
This is a strange kind of paper, there is something (like bits of wood or plastic embedded) IN it.
Hope that helps...interesting question thanks.

Can you provide some context. What kind of paper? An exam paper, a newspaper, just a piece of paper with some writing on it?
