What is the IA shooflies?
Below is a quotation from THE OUTSIDER by Stephen King. A detective and a DA arrested (maybe falsely) a man for a murder, but he was shot to death when he was on his way to the courthouse. Below is what a detective said to a DA after what had happened.
"If you think I've been telling my wife this is all your fault, you're wrong. Why would I? Arresting him at that fucking baseball game was my idea, and when I talk to the IA shooflies on Friday, I'll make that clear."
Does anybody know what the IA shoofles means here?

IA - Internal Affairs - a department of the police who investigate other police. They are often looked down on by other police officers because it is their job to judge if a police officer is doing the job correctly and honestly.
Shooflies - a plural form of Shoofly — any kind of fly that is attracted to something and needs to be discouraged with a wave of the hand. We say “shoo” to tell someone to move away from us. So a “shoofly” is a pest to whom we say “shoo fly!”.
Combined, it means the speaker feels that the Internal Affairs officers are pests, like the shooflies.
