Professionele leerkrachtexperience or attempt? why?
Nick Gillard earns a living working as a stuntman on films and TV shows but his first experience / attempt of show business was trick-riding circus horses. Four years later he got the chance to
perform in his first film. “I really enjoyed working on the film,” Nick remembers, “so I started
asking what I should (2)... to become a stuntman.”

I think it should say "experience in show business". The word "attempt" sounds like he tried and failed but based on the context it sounds like he didn't fail he just had a different experience at first.
