【探す(さがす)】= Look for / Seek for (something/someone you would like to find) 例:「仕事 を 探す」(しごと を さがす) "Look for a job." 「ビジネスパートナー を 探す」(ビジネスパートナー を さがす) "Look for a business partner." ---------- 【検索する(けんさくする)】= Search for / Search and find out * It is usually used when looking up or searching for something online. The thing can be a professional knowledge, a restaurant you're interested in, or any information you would like to get on the Internet. 例:「日本 に ついて 検索する」(にほん に ついて けんさくする) "Search (for the information) about Japan." 「店 の 場所 を グーグル で 検索する」(みせ の ばしょ を グーグル で けんさくする) "Google the location of the restaurant." ---------- 【調べる(しらべる)】= Search for / Look up for (normally for 'information' or 'knowledge' you want to know about) * It is similar with '検索する,' but does not limited to searches on the Internet. It can be searches online, on books, on database, or on any resource with the information. 例:「図書館 で 歴史 に ついて 調べる」(としょかん で れきし に ついて しらべる) "Search / Look for the history in the library." 「ネット で 値段 を 調べる」(ネット で ねだん を しらべる) "Search the price on the Internet." ⇒ In this case, the meaning of '調べる' is the same as '検索する.' ---------- 【見つける(みつける)】= Find (something/someone you have been looking for) * '見つける' is a kind of result of '探す' '検索する' and '調べる.' It is used when finding something after you have been looking for / searching for it. Sometimes, it can also used in the situation that you found something/someone unexpectedly. 例:「仕事 を 見つける」(しごと を みつける) "Find (Found) a job." 「道 に 落ちていた 財布 を 見つけた」(みち に おちていた さいふ を みつけた) "Found (Came across) a wallet dropped on the street."
