What the meaning of the word "Thick boots"?
I saw this word, when I was translating the text from Robert Graves' book "My best Christmas". Can anybody explain me, what means the word "thick boots"? I can't find understandable explanation in internet. It will be very helpful.

The most common meaning is boots with a thick lining (for warmth).
