"Between A over B"
Can "between" be used in this pattern? If yes, I'll learn a new use of it. If not, what should I say to convey the same meaning? Can you give one or two choices? Thank you.

Quite often the decision BETWEEN a customer choosing you OVER someone like you depends on your ability to know exactly what to say, when to say it and how to make it count. ----

Honestly, can’t think of another word other than “between”. Maybe “of” but that isn’t as good.

I am not a native speaker of English. So, just for your information. I have never seen "between" used with "over" as you said. I would say "customer's decision whether to choose you or someone like you depends on".
