what are the difference between the words 'sauber' and 'klar'?
what are the difference between the words 'sauber' and 'klar'?
In the dictionary, both of them mean 'clean', but when use them to describe something,
such as (wasser, menschen, gemüse etc )
they cannot share meanings.
So are there any rules to follow when using 'sauber' or 'klar' and
are they just using in fixed condition?
Thank you.

Sometimes they do have a similar meaning. Das Wasser ist sauber (clean) / klar (transparent). When water is transparent, it is usually clean as well. Gemüse can only be clean. Er (Mensch) ist sauber. --> A term used in crime stories for not having a gun or drugs or other illegal things on him.

"Klar" is "clear", not "clean".

Basically,
"sauber" means "clean" the opposite being "schmutzig" (dirty)
"klar" means "clear" i.e. being transparent or well visible
Hope this helps.
