What's the difference between:
1) He made a fool OUT OF himself, and
2) He made a fool OF himself?

First sentence is correct.
Second sentence the first “of” is not needed

Sentence 1 means that he turned himself into a fool. Sentence 2 means that he did something embarrassing or foolish.
