The origin & meaning of Prado comes from Spanish, Galician, Portuguese, and Jewish (Sephardic) it is habitational name from any of the numerous places in Spain (especially in Galicia) and Portugal named or named with Prado, from prado ‘meadow’ (from Latin pratum)

In Colombia "prado " has a lot of mean for example it's an ornamental garden, or it's a green grassy zone or area where you can use it as a playing field, or it's also a surname

The word itself "prado" is a spanish word as Fede mentioned that means :
"meadow" , " a field or any green grassy area in general" or "pasture".
Many places and things are named thereafter such the above mentioned beside others like the LandCruiser Prado Vehicle , a person's name etc...
