"See you soon" is sometimes said in habit to friends, but it means that you are planning to see that person again soon.

It is used when you know you will see somebody again but have no specific plans to meet them.

I use "see you soon" because it anticipates the next time I will see that person.
There's no strict time limit for this, you can use it casually.
