How to say I misunderstood something?
I want to apologize and say that I had misunderstood a certain part of the mail.missunderstood and misinterpretedI guess I forgot to say I'm looking for the JAPANESE expression.

If you want to apologize,
「すみません。誤解していました。」
(Sumimasen. Gokai shiteimashita.)
It implies that your misunderstanding and misinterpretation has already corrected.

Tu dois écrire: "Je suis désolée mais il y a une partie de ton courrier que je n'ai pas comprise"
If you've been misinterpreted, you can "Vous m'avez mal comprise" (ou "tu m'as mal comprise")
